About Spike Rally

A free six-a-side volleyball game you coach from the sideline, right in your browser.

Spike Rally is a six-a-side volleyball game that runs in any modern web browser, on phones, tablets and computers, with nothing to install. Instead of steering one player, you coach the whole team: your players move on their own, and you make the calls that decide every rally.

Frequently asked questions

Is Spike Rally free?

Yes. Spike Rally is free to play in any modern web browser, with no download, account or sign-up.

Can I play volleyball online with a friend?

Yes. Choose Play online, create a room and send the six-letter code or invite link to a friend. Each of you coaches your own team, and if the connection drops the game waits up to 30 seconds for it to come back.

Does it work on phones and tablets?

Yes. It works in portrait or landscape on phones and tablets, and on computers, with touch, mouse or keyboard.

Is my progress saved?

Your stars, unlocks, stats, league and tournament are saved in your browser on your device. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Do I control the players directly?

No. You are the coach: your players move on their own, and you call the serve, choose the hitter, pick the attack and call the block.
